Inspiration For The Change

Solange Knowles my first inspiration

   

I didn't know what I was gonna do to my hair next, I spent hours upon hours on the net looking for ideas. In my search I came across a photo of Solange Knowles when she shaved her head. She looked Fabulous. That picture got me thinking what will happen if I cut the rest of my hair off. So I researched more and I was amazed by the results, the many women that big chopped and are rocking their natural tresses. I started to wonder how I would look if I had no hair on my head, what my family would think and how people would react. Although a part of didn't care what anybody would say, because I knew that I needed to do something to my hair but relaxing it again was out of the question. So, on February 12,2011 I did what I thought was the best thing for me.

For the first time in my life I felt free. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I was happy because I knew it was the beginning of something wonderful.
