After months of trying to figure out what the next step is going to on my hair journey, I had finally made up my mind that shaving the back and sides of my hair was what I wanted for me. I get bored soo easy when it comes to my hair, and after growing it out for over 34 months I just couldn't take it anymore. I have never been able to wear my own hair beyond a certain length, and just because I'm wearing it (my hair) in its natural state is no exception. I really wanted to wait until my 3 year mark but, who was I fooling?! From the moment I cut it back in November I knew I couldn't held on for long.
Thursday, January 16th 2014 at around 3pm I section off the hair at my nape and just cut without hesitation. FYI: It felt soo good.

Yesterday morning I couldn't wait to do the remaining section of hair, so I grabbed my scissors and start cutting. After using the scissors I used my dads clipper with the #1(1/8") guard and do the finishing touches. All I have to say is that I feel free. Although my family reaction was not pleasant I expected that from them because they don't understand and may never understand why I always cut my hair.

I'm gonna be keeping my hair short for awhile, someday I know I will grow it back again.

Next morning, getting better at doing 2-strand twist with perm rod. |
For right now the length that I will probably grow back my hair to is when I was 5 months in my hair journey. I really loved the way my hair was at that stage.

I like your hair short!! Very cute at 5 months..I am currently at 30 months post relaxer and like you, I get scissor happy and just like short and low maintenance styles. I big chopped 3 times due to boredom and this is the longest I went without cutting my hair. I am getting the itch to!
