Two-Strand Flat Twist

I never really knew how to do two-strand flat twist so today I decided to give it a try. Picking up the hair as I go along was very challenging but I think I did good for the first try :).

Hair Update

I took my braids out last Thursday. Wasn't feeling well so didn't get to pamper my hair the way I wanted to I just did a quick co-wash. Today is a beautiful day, the sun is shining outside so I did a Hot Oil Treatment,then I shampooed my hair with Vitale Olive Oil Deep Moisturizing Shampoo,and conditioned with Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner.

Hair Update

I know I'm late posting this but I did re-braid my hair on Sunday. This time I used Ponytail braids because thats the only braid I had at the time. I just did them in a simple cornrow up-do. Not sure how long they're gonna last me I just have to wait and see. I placed rubber-bands at the end of each braid to keep them from unraveling because ponytail braids are very smooth.

Hair Update

Yesterday I took the braids out because they were unraveling. I'm so mad because the braid that I used just didn't have a good texture. I really wanted my hair to last me 3 weeks but instead it lasted 1 week. It's so upsetting because I wasted my money :-(.

Afro Kinky Twist

Yesterday I braided my hair in kinky twist again. It took me about 5 hours to complete but it was worth it. So I'll be keeping these in for 3 weeks. There's now 57 days remaining  before my hair goal comes to an end. My currant hair length is 3 1/2 inches because I trimmed about 1/4 inch off.

 

10 Months Natural

It's hard to believe that 10 months have passed since I've been growing my hair out. I've come a long way and I'm enjoying it. Am learning new things as I go along and I'm not gonna turn back now. Not this time. I am loving my hair and learning to accept who I am and I am truly thankful to God for everything.
